So today was the first day off (day where I dont have school or work) I've had in about a month and a half. It felt nice. I slept in, spend several hours in front of the computer, had laura over for a few hours, and now I'm back on the computer. Very nice. Yesterday was my last day of school, and I'm finished with finals and final projects and evilness and it feels very nice. Yesterday after school got out I went up to DLR by myself and spent the rest of the day there, mostly at DCA. I did get a chance to check out the Snow White stage show finally (because they weren't showing Aladdin at DCA yesterday), and it was alright. The theatre itself ruin it a bit, because its a very low quality theatre. Also, the story of snow white doesnt have much substance in its plot, and there were very many restless children throughout, making for a less than theatre like atmosphere. The show itself was decent, but could have been much better. Anyway, relaxing day. I spent about an hour in Sunshine Plaza at DCA just listening to the band play Beach Boys songs.
Work has been going well. I don't feel like a n00b anymore, as they've been hiring more people. And I have money now! It feels better spending it when I've earned it. Much better.
Mira Costa sent me a letter the other day. Turns out I've been recommended for a position as an English tutor in the library. I thought that was pretty cool. My English instructor actually thinks I'm smart! That's at least someone! It pays $8 an hour, and it's about 10 hours a week, which can be worked into and around school schedule. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to apply or not, but I feel good that I got that letter. It'd be nice to make an extra 80 bucks a week. We'll see though.
Monday I'm going back up to Anaheim, and I'm going to spend a day at Disneyland with Laura. Just the two of us. That I'm looking forward to. I have 3 days of work to get through before then, but maybe it will make it easier.
Site news: there is none. But you aren't surprised, right?
